Some books are full of war, blood and darkness …
Do not look at the bright side only.There is a dark one in it too. The artwork is multimedia installation ,the visitors should look to the books in the center while they listen to a musical composition under the same title. REFLECTION (instillation)
There is things in life we reflect on ourselves, we decide by actions or no action, tanking or not thinking a way from the side we born into, we think people knows how we fell in our side and they are listening to the same thing we do, then we reflect that on us and on them.

Where? (installation)
A 'sound mapping', where people are invited to localize the four sounds according to their origin.
Sounds from different places from the city of Baghdad , the places' are known to all the Baghdadis and the common thing of these places is Rusafi Square , and it’s the place where we will show present the art work on several speakers , the square union these places , the people will reorder the speakers as a puzzle and they have to find the correct direction to each sound Marouf Al Rusafi Statue, Rusafi Square/Baghdad BAGHDAD WALK II-group exhibition in public space 2019 |
The art work will work on the brain sound memory section which is one of the important parts in the brain which is connected strongly with our moods and our ideas in the day when we pass near by these places . few people are aware about it but most of them doesn't even know that it's in their brains .
TSCHIESS (performance)
A performance in the streets of Baghdad the visitors were invited to move a plastic bag with their feet.

1000 IRAQI LIP PRINTS (installation)
A huge plastic ball blocked the traffic, placed in the middle of the street of Karada Dajel in front of Ridha Alwan Café. 1.000 IRAQI LIP PRINTS are 1.000 evidences of crime happening every second in Baghdad. Ameen Mokdad collected 1.000 empty carelessly discarded water bottles from the streets by his own hand. With his intervention he wanted to create an awareness of the enormous waste pollution in Baghdad’s streets. Karada Dajel is the thriving shopping street and the heart of the city. The art café Ridha Alwan collects guests of a socially diverse clientele under one roof. It is the inhabitants of Baghdad, who can achieve a change, if they want.

BODY PERCUSSION (performance)
On the stage of the empty and unused Abu Nawas Theater the composer and musician Ameen Mokdad conducted a body percussion, using the human body to creates sounds and vibrations. Ameen Mokdad is interested in activating social interaction through music. All participants in the BAGHDAD WALK were invited to join on stage and take part in the performance. The Abu Nawas Theater was once one of the attractions on the boulevard Abu Nawas, mainly used for film screenings. An unresolved property situation keeps private investors away. The theater building is in the hands of the federal state government Baghdad (Amanat), which mainly uses the theater as a waste-disposal site.
